CONTACThe team behind Nations United is a group of inspiring volunteers with diverse backgrounds in both education and work experience, but who share a common vision; a world that is united for the success and creation of lasting solutions to global issues.

Christian Paré, co-founder of Nations United, a Toronto resident, is an Entrepreneur, International Educator and has been a motivational speaker since 1985. He believes that to be happy and fulfilled, you need to do what you love and follow your dreams! “Happiness comes from redefining the meaning of what’s possible for you and your life”, says Christian. In 2009 he became the Director General of Can Study Canada and works with a dynamic team of young professionals to assist international students in fulfilling their dreams through education, multicultural life experiences and a positive outlook. A true serial entrepreneur, Christian is an avid art collector and designer, he also owns an art gallery, salon, and a home renovations business. He also loves to travel and experience new cultures and has worked globally with people of diverse backgrounds who are looking for true self expression and fulfillment. His passionate and positive approach to life has made him a respected speaker, mentor and humanitarian. Mr. Paré runs the general management of Nations United and he works closely with Chaker Khazaal as his mentor. Christian has also worked on the story and creation of IGOERA, a feature film produced by Nations United. His collaboration with Mr Khazaal has been invaluable.

Mr Paré is also the director of PANU, Positive Action for Nations United campaign. His inspired way of being will help others discover their passions and learn how to choose happiness above all else.

 

Perry Toone

Born and raised in London, England, Perry Toone moved to Toronto, Canada in 2005. After starting out in fields of web design, illustration and even French polishing, Perry now manages the online advertising and Internet solutions company; Thexyz Network. Providing web hosting, cloud backup, online advertising, domain registration and quality customer support to thousands of websites around the world. Perry joined the NU team because of his passion to diversity, art and unity between the nations. Laila Maiden

Laila Maiden is a Toronto based entrepreneur who is currently completing her undergraduate education at the University of Toronto. She has received numerous awards during her academic career and her dedication to personal development is apparent in her many contributions to international organizations and charities. Ms. Maiden has eight years of experience in the field of Medical Management and has formal training in Business Development from Meni Mencini, advisor to Nations United. She recently held the position of Executive Assistant with Nations United where her vibrant energy, relentless work ethic, and skills in public relations contributed to the early success and growth of the project. Laila is now positioned on the Executive Board of Nations United supervising the legal structure of the company.  She recently won the Lebanese Women of the year award at the Lebanon Film Festival for all of her excellent work with Nations United. Ms. Maiden plans to remain as a key team member with Nations United while expanding her personal enterprises.

Meni Mancini is a seasoned executive with over 17 years of International Trade and business experience specializing in helping companies understand the legal implications of cross border trade. Through her proven business acumen and strategic direction, Ms. Mancini was responsible for the management of business development and marketing activities for a leading North American Consulting firm, setting up the firm for unprecedented growth and leadership positioning in the market place. Her portfolio of clients includes consulting assignments ranging from start-up ventures to large multi-national companies. Ms. Mancini has participated in trade missions to promote trade and has been involved with various trade groups and industry associations in Canada and the United States and has lectured extensively on the topics of customs compliance, NAFTA, Border Security and risk management and mitigation. Ms. Mancini acts as the head consultant to the Nations United team assisting at all levels of planning, marketing and advertising.

 

Cameron Schallenberg

Cameron Schallenberg is a recent graduate of McGill University. His interest in filmmaking and international development drew him to work with the Nations United team. As a student Cameron excelled academically holding the post of research assistant on the Global Book Project. He was also published in McGill’s award winning Undergraduate Journal of English Studies for a long analytic film essay. His academic awards and work with different charities make him a well fitting member of the team. Having lived and travelled in different parts of the world, Cameron believes in the universal power of the image, and the local power of the word. Through this form of media, great global changes can be effected. Cameron hopes to explore these possibilities through his position managing the Big 7 Campaigns and their diverse and inspiring international projects.

David is a writer of feature films (Ghosting the Depths, We Are Family, The Maids, Fest.), and television (Smarter Than You). He also worked on Matt Watts’ hit radio drama Canadia.

David additionally works with creators to better identify, understand, and embrace their individual creative processes. He acts as a bridge between artist and project, providing intuitive creative support, assisting artists in overcoming creative blocks, ultimately helping them to best align with their current project. He also lectures on creativity, and leads workshops mandated to inspire and bolster the creator within.
